In their neverending quest to take over the world, Google is planning to launch its own WiFi service. According to their corporate website, Google Secure Access can be downloaded for free, but is only available in certain locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, by using Google Secure Access, the company says that a user's Internet traffic will be encrypted and will prevent others from viewing the information you transmit.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of reception this gets from the WiFi community. Does Google have something here, or are they simply adding to their ever-growing product portfolio just for appearance's sake?
