A couple of new wireless products from Belkin Corp. aimed at the home theater market are categorized as "Pre-N", meaning that they are arriving in advance of the coming 802.11n standard. But, since the spec is still undergoing the ratification process, Belkin's Wirless Pre-N Router and Wireless Pre-N Notebook network card are certified under the 802.11g standard.
Using either the router or network card individually will likely yield some improvement, but optimally you will want Pre-N gear on both ends.
